An important part of managing rentals is keeping on top of existing tenancy agreements and ensuring they are renewed before the deadline. The Residential Tenancy Branch (the branch of government that oversees rental housing in Manitoba) has some very strict guidelines when it comes to renewing leases and raising rent. This is why having systems in place to ensure those guidelines are followed is important. |
Rent Collection
Another important aspect of managing rentals is collecting rent. In our experience, there is a much better probability that rent will be paid on time if tenants clearly understand what the expectations are and what the consequences are if rent is late. Therefore, our approach is to communicate clearly and frequently with tenants. This ensures everyone is on the same page and that our expectations are met. |
